Purbachal Ananda Foundation is running  Shelter for Urban Homeless for  people in the catagory of Homeless, Vagabond, Destitute, Aged & infirm. So far this people were staying in open air at different location of the city. These are being run in association with concerned Municipal Corporations. At present the following Shelters are in operation :

1. “ ABHAYASHRAM”  ( অভয়াশ্রম )    in association with Durgapur Municipal Corporation at VAMBAY Colony, Oppo Ram Sita Mandir, Bidhannagar, Durgapur- 713212, Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal India.
2. “ GHORE PHERA” ( ঘরে ফেরা ) in association with Howrah Municipal Corporation at 9 Koipukur lane, Howrah 711102, West Bengal , India.
3. “ VIVEKANANDA BHAWAN”( বিবেকানন্দ ভবন ) in association with Habra Municipality, Habra 743271 , Banipur, Ward No – 22, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal India.
4.  “AASHRAY”( আশ্রয় ), in association with Asansol Municipal Corporation at Damodarpur, P.O.: Nandi, Jamuria, Paschim Burdwan, West Bengal, India .
5. “AASHRAY”( আশ্রয় ), Haridebpur, kolkata-700072
6. Bhabaghure Ashray ( ভবঘুরে আশ্রয় ) – Dhobghata, Reny Road, Purulia- 723103
7. Khonika ( ক্ষণিকা ) – Rampurhat, Near- Sufal Bangla, Birbhum

Shelters are provided for urban homeless people who are poor, aged, infirm and vagabond . They are provided with food , medicine, life skill, education & entertainment in the shelters.  At present there are 5 nos of shelters are in operation, at 5 different locations namely, Durgapur, Howrah, Habra, Jamuria-Aasansol and Naihati consisting of 150 people in total. These shelters are being operated and managed by Purbachal Ananda Foundation in association with local Municipal Corporations under National Urban Livelihood Mission Project.
